Stephanie Clendening

Stephanie Clendening is a Senior HR Principal at Blackwell HR with over seven years of experience partnering with organizations on employee benefits, retirement planning, and workforce strategy. She works closely with HR teams and leadership to develop practical, people-focused solutions that support both day-to-day operations and long-term goals.

Her expertise includes total rewards, benefits strategy, workforce planning, process improvement, and evolving workforce legislation. She helps organizations interpret regulatory guidance and apply it in a way that is clear, practical, and easy to implement. Known for her thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach, Stephanie brings a balance of big-picture thinking and attention to detail to every engagement.

Stephanie holds Life, Health and Accident Insurance licenses in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania and maintains the Qualified Plan Financial Consultant designation. She is also a graduate of the ABC Leadership Academy and remains actively involved in the HR community, serving as Legislative Chair and Board Member for Delaware SHRM and Chair of the Young Professionals group for the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, especially outdoors in the summer. When they are not at a sporting event, she can often be found boating near the Chesapeake Bay. She is also an avid reader and rarely without a good book.
